The rules

The cards

From highest to lowest: 1 of swords, 1 of clubs, 7 of swords, 7 of coins, the 3s, the 2s, the false 1s, 12, 11, 10, the false 7s, 6, 5 and 4. Two equal cards tie, and a tied trick is parda.

The tricks

The round goes to whoever wins two of the three tricks. With a parda in between, it goes to whoever won the other one; if all three are parda, it goes to whoever was first to play.

Truco

Calling truco puts the round at 2 points, retruco at 3 and vale cuatro at 4. Whoever does not accept hands the other whatever it was worth before the call: not accepting a truco costs 1, not accepting a retruco costs 2.

Envido

Only in the first trick. It counts 20 plus the two cards of the same suit, or the highest card if there are not two of a suit; face cards are worth 0. Envido is 2 points, real envido 3, and falta envido whatever the leader still needs. Not accepting costs 1, or whatever was called before if it had already been raised.

Folding

You can give up the round at any time: the other player takes whatever the truco is worth at that moment.
