Bounces
A die crosses from wall to wall. Tap to make it rise, and reach the wall through the gap where there are no spikes. How many times you bounced.

The rules
How to play
The die goes from one wall to the other on its own, always at the same speed. Tap the screen —or click, or press the space bar— and it rises a little; let go and it falls. The floor and the ceiling do nothing: you can skim either of them.
The spikes
The moment you bounce, that pass's spikes appear on the opposite wall. What you have to do is reach that wall through a gap. Touch a spike and it is over: there are no lives and no second chances.
The crates
Every so many crossings a crate turns up in the middle of the way. The fire one breaks a spike on the wall you are heading for —the nearest one— and the ice one halves the speed for a stretch, which is twice the time to get into place. You do not have to take them: a crate sitting in the worst spot is a crate worth letting go.
It gets worse
Every so many bounces one more spike appears, up to the ceiling of the difficulty. That is why there is no ending: the match lasts as long as it takes you to miss the gap.
The board
Bounces are kept, and compared against the same difficulty. Easy and hard are two different games —the crossing lasts something else and the spikes are other spikes— and mixing them would make a table where the winner is whoever chose better.
It is played alone
This table seats one. There is no entry fee, no chips are shared out and no points are added: it is for passing the time and for the board.
