Potions
Apothecary vials with coloured potions, all mixed up. Pour from one into another until each colour sits together in its own vial. Everybody plays the same puzzle, and the winner is whoever sorts it best.

The rules
How to pour
Tap the vial you want to pour from, then the vial it goes into. Only the colour showing at the top comes out, and all of it: if three portions of the same colour are stacked, the three of them move.
Where it can go
Into an empty vial, or onto one with the same colour on top. Nothing else. A vial filled with a single colour gets corked and is out of play.
How you win
You are done when every vial of yours is corked or empty. If several of you are playing, everybody gets the same deal: the winner is whoever solves it best, not whoever got lucky.
If you get stuck
Go back: undo reaches as far as you need, and from a dead board it is the only thing that helps. There is also a hint, which marks your next pour and costs twenty seconds — if there is no solution left from where you are, it says so and charges nothing.
The score
Each puzzle brings its own yardstick: the number of pours the game knows will do it. A thousand points is solving it at that pace; faster is more. That is what makes a thirteen-vial puzzle and a ten-vial one comparable, even though one takes twice as long.
