Chess
Chess as always, with a clock. You win by checkmate, by the other player resigning, or by being the one left when your opponent runs out of time.

The rules
The colours
They are drawn at the start. White moves first.
The clock
Each player has their own time and it only runs on their turn. After moving, the increment is added. Whoever runs out loses — unless the opponent has no pieces left to mate with, in which case it is a draw.
The odd moves
They are all there: short and long castling, capture en passant, and promotion, which lets you choose between queen, rook, bishop and knight. The board only lets you drop a piece where it can really go.
Draws
Stalemate, the 50-move rule without a capture or a pawn move, the same position three times, and endings where nobody can mate any more. You do not have to claim them: they happen on their own. And a draw can always be offered.
Resigning
You can resign at any time, and whoever leaves the table loses just as if they had resigned.
